Bengaluru: Bone and Joint Day was celebrated by the Indian Orthopaedic Association at the MCR of the ESIC Hospital in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru.
The programme was organised as part of Bone and Joint Week held on the hospital premises.
During the first two days, the Department of Orthopaedics conducted a Bone Mineral Density (BMD) screening camp. A public awareness programme was also organised through poster presentations at the department’s OPD.
This was followed by a panel discussion on the topic of “Osteoporosis.”
Dean Dr. Jitendra Kumar inaugurated the programme. BOS President Dr. Bharat Kadadi, KOA-designated President Dr. Bharat Raju, Organising Committee Chairman Dr. Naveen Kumar, Organising Secretary Dr. Monesh, Professor and Head of the Department Dr. Purushottam, faculty members from various departments and medical students participated in the programme in large numbers.
